The Role
The EIT supports daily shop operations by assisting with facility upkeep, Truck Fleet repairs, equipment handling, and general shop activities. This role is essential to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe shop environment. The EIT also assists with field service support, deliveries, and Pickups as business needs require.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist the Shop Manager with daily shop operations and assigned tasks.
- Perform basic maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and tire repairs, including replacing.
- Assist senior diesel mechanics with repairs to our fleet of trucks, trailers, and buses
- Perform shop maintenance duties, including vehicle cleaning, trash removal, and general grounds and building upkeep.
- Perform facility repairs and maintenance to our Logistic Facilities and parking lot.
- Operate forklifts and other shop equipment in a safe and responsible manner, efficiently.
- Assist with daily lot inspection reporting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards.
- Use hand tools and shop machinery
- Drive the company vehicle to pick up parts needed for repairs.
- Maintain inventory bins, ensuring accurate counts, proper labeling, and the correct location of all stock items
What You’ll Need
- Having previous mechanical experience is beneficial, but it’s not a requirement.
- Ability to perform physical labor in a shop and warehouse environment.
- Forklift experience or willingness to obtain forklift certification.
- Strong attention to safety, organization, and detail.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to follow instructions.
- Prior shop, warehouse, or industrial experience preferred but not required.
